Papers of the John Powell Foundation [manuscript] 1914-76.

Musical manuscripts in the collection include 2 copies of the fugue section of Sonata Teutonica, the score of The apple tree wassail, and several Carolina mountain songs set down by Richard Chase in 1953. The bulk of the papers consist of the official records of the foundation including minutes, treasurer's reports, contracts, membership lists, correspondence, and concert arrangements, as well as correspondence of the president of the directors, Florence Robertson, regarding foundation activities, particularly concerts and recordings.
